“PRAN” é uma exposição totalmente dedicada ao Bangladesh e à sua realidade. Nasce de um projecto de ajuda humanitária dirigido por Rudolf Koukol o qual registou com a sua objectiva as vivências deste povo.
É uma exposição reveladora que nos aproxima e nos familiariza com esta cultura. “Pessoas que não têm nada e querem-te dar tudo”, é assim, que o autor define estas pessoas.
Não se pense que esta é uma exposição sobre dor, sofrimento e tristeza. Apesar de todas as dificuldades e divergências, é a alegria e beleza que mais dominam nas fotografias. A exposição conta com 18 fotografias legendadas em Português e Inglês e acompanhadas por uma história explicativa.

PRAN (pochází z bengálštiny a znamená „život“) je název výstavy, která představuje krásy věčně zelené země, chudoby a bohatství života v Bangladéši. Výstava 18 fotografiemi vypráví příběh jedné z nejchudších a nejlidnatějších zemí světa.
„Život mnoha dětí v Bangladéši není o tom s jakou hračkou si dítě bude hrát, ale kde se nají, aby nemělo hlad. Snažím se Vám představit jejich život, který si i přes úskalí osudu stále uchovává svoji barevnost“ Rudolf Koukol
Fotografie nafotil Rudolf Koukol při poslední cestě s humanitární organizací ADRA v Bangladéši (2006). ADRA v Bangladéši realizuje dlouhodobý vzdělávací program (tzv. Adopci na dálku). Autor na programu s Adrou spolupracuje od roku 2004.

PRAN (comes from bengali language and means "LIFE") is name of the exhibition which presents a beautiful and forever green country, its powerty and treasures: we present you: Bangladesh. You'll find it in stories of children, how is their everyday reality and what future is expecting them.
"I have to say that life of majority of the children in Bangladesh is not about which toy they will play with today but where they will get some food from not to suffer from hunger. In my work I have been trying to capture theri life in a way that shows their effort to strugle with their destiny.“ Rudolf Koukol
